Arnold comes to Broken Arrow from Weatherford, Texas, where he was the police chief, director of public safety and assistant city manager. He previously worked at the Norman Police Department.

During the annual State of the City address, City Manager Michael Spurgeon announced Lance Arnold as the new Chief of the Broken Arrow Police Department (BAPD). This comes after the retirement of Former Police Chief Brandon Berryhill.
