Former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been announced as the new manager at Championship side Coventry City, and he could look to return to his former club ahead of the January transfer window.

Frank Lampard has been appointed as manager of Championship side Coventry City, the club confirmed on Thursday.

Lampard has been out of management since his spell as interim Chelsea boss at the end of the 2022-23 season. He replaces Mark Robins, who was this month sacked after a seven-year spell in charge in which he led Coventry from League Two to a Championship Play-Off Final and FA Cup semi-final.
