The national average of gas has fallen below $3 a gallon. How will the upcoming presidency of Donald Trump impact pricing? President-elect Trump is promising more drilling in the U.S. but has also threatened a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico.

Gas prices continued to decrease across the country, with the national average cost for a gallon of regular gas falling to $3.037, according to AAA. This was a three-cent drop from a week ago when the cost of regular gas was $3.067 per gallon. Tuesday’s price is also less expensive than a month ago when a gallon of regular was $3.103.
