Schools across Prince George’s County were closed for a third day in a row Wednesday following a snowstorm. The storm left more than three inches of snow blanketed across roads. The school district noted the decision to keep schools closed on Wednesday,

Around 230 plows and salt trucks are still out clearing snow and adding salt to Prince George's County's roads, according to county officials.

Montgomery Public Schools will continue to provide free and reduced-price meals for the 2024-2025 school year, the school board announced.

Montgomery County Public Schools opened 18 emergency meal distribution sites for MCPS families on Wednesday. Parents and guardians are able to pick up meals for MCPS youth aged 18 and under. Heating instructions will be provided for all meals.

Under the Community Eligibility Program, schools and school districts in low-income areas can offer meals at no cost to all enrolled students.
