It has been a mostly successful season for the Aggies. They head into the final game at 8-3 but their most impressive win came against No. 24 Missouri. With a resume not worth bragging about, clinching the SEC automatic berth appears to be the only way Texas A&M can get into the 12-team field. However, it's very much still a possibility.

Saturday’s Texas-Texas A&M game will be the 16th time since 1934, when the Southwest Conference began round-robin play, that the outcome will have a direct bearing on a conference championship. The winner on Saturday will reach the SEC title game.

Heading toward the biggest Texas-Texas A&M game in more than a century, the oddsmakers may be giving the Longhorns too much sway. Texas is a roughly touchdown favorite in the first meeting of intrastate rivals in 13 years.
