Eknath Shinde held talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi along with Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat said that if Shinde does not accept the deputy CM post, then the chair will go to someone else in their party.

While speaking on the meeting of Mahayuti after Maharashtra elections, Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said that Caretaker CM Eknath Shinde has expressed full faith in PM Modi and Amit Shah. She said,

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat states that if Eknath Shinde declines the deputy chief minister position, another party member will be appointed. Shinde, who isn't considering a Union minister role, ensures support for BJP's new CM decision.

After the Mahayuti’s landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the Shiv Sena has sought the home ministry and is likely to get a deputy chief minister post.
