JMM executive president Hemant Soren Thursday took oath as the 14th chief minister of Jharkhand. Soren, 49, was administered the oath by Governor Santosh Gangwar at Morabadi Maidan in Ranchi. He was sworn in as chief minister of the mineral-rich state for the fourth time.

This will be Hemant Soren's fourth stint as chief minister. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Soren at 4 pm.

On Tuesday, Soren met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first visit to the national capital after leading his alliance to an unprecedented second consecutive term.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi arrived at the oath ceremony of Jharkhand Chief Minister-designate Hemant Soren in Ranchi on8. Soren will take the oath as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand following the victory of JMM-led alliance in the Assembly elections.

The oath will be administered to Hemant Soren by governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground at 4pm.
