After a SWAT standoff, a wanted fugitive was finally arrested Wednesday evening at an apartment complex behind Cielo Vista Mall.

The El Paso police SWAT team is dealing with a barricaded person at a Northeast apartment complex. The standoff had occurred since at least 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at an apartment complex at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain in the 3300 block of Sheppard Avenue along Alabama Street.
