Hyundai is recalling more than 187,000 vehicles because of a damaged charging unit and wiring issues, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For a full list of recalled vehicles or to see if your car has any recalls, check the NHTSA website.

Hyundai is recalling 145,235 of its Genesis and IONIQ vehicles. This recall includes a crash risk, the NHTSA report said.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling more than 200,000 vehicles because their integrated charging control units may have issues that could result in loss of drive power.

Omission of 48-volt electronics is particularly surprising in Hyundai's E-GMP vehicles, which incorporate various other advancements like 800-volt charging. Hyundai has even introduced a solution that does away with the old-style lead-acid 12-volt battery in some of its hybrids —but not any of its EVs thus far.

NHTSA announced a recall of 200,000 EV models from Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis due to a potential loss of drive power and faulty transmissions.

Some Hyundai models may have faulty wiring that would allow the vehicle to roll away. Other Hyundai, Kia and Genesis cars may have damaged EV charging units.
