OMEGA has introduced the Speedmaster Pilot into its emblematic lineup. Despite being named under the Speedmaster umbrella, the new timepiece borrowed some of the design cues from the “Flightmaster” — a vintage model that dates back back to 1969 and was specifically tailored for pilots.

After the pilot-only “Flight Qualified” Speedmaster blew up watch forums, Omega drops a faithful version you can fly.

Omega has unveiled a new Speedmaster model. Designed to honour pilots, there are a number of quirky nods to aviation on the dial. There are few luxury watches as revered as the Omega Speedmaster. Often dubbed the 'MoonWatch' having been worn on the Apollo 11 mission which saw humans walk on the lunar surface for the first time.

Speedie fans have saluted the creation of Omega’s Speedmaster Pilot with a special cockpit-inspired dial. It is the second Pilot introduced since the summer, following on from a piece dubbed the Speedmaster Pilot Flight Qualified that was only available to buy for US military aviators.
