Universal Studios Japan held a Donkey Kong Country Eve Ceremony to celebrate the expansion of its Super Nintendo World. Universal Studios Japan is the first to have Donkey Kong Country, a new land of the Super Nintendo World expansion.

Mine Cart Madness is the area’s only ride, but there are shops and snacking options as well as chances to meet costumed characters from the iconic series.

With the opening of the Donkey Kong Country expansion to Super Nintendo World, guests can now meet Donkey Kong in Universal Studios Japan. Donkey Kong Meet and Greet Donkey Kong will meet with guests daily outside of his treehouse,

Mine Cart Madness, based on the mine cart levels from the Donkey Kong Country games, is a world's first roller coaster, that puts riders in the same carts that Donkey and Diddy Kong rode in those games, in a layout around the land.

The gift shop in Donkey Kong Country at Universal Studios Japan is Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy. It’s inspired by Funky Kong’s shop of the same name from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy The gift shop resembles a cartoon-ish airplane sitting in the jungle.
