Brian Thompson, 50, was outside the hotel on Sixth Avenue when the suspect shot him in the chest and leg around 6:45 a.m.

A man convicted of second-degree manslaughter will spend over three years in prison for the shooting death of another man.

Mr. Thompson was on his way to an investors’ gathering when he was killed by a masked shooter who fled on an electric Citi Bike, the police said.
