Earth will say goodbye to an asteroid that has acted as a mini moon for the past two months. But astronomers say it will return again soon.

A temporary “mini- moon ” orbiting the Earth for the last two months drifted away on Tuesday, resuming its journey around the Sun. The 10m-wide asteroid dubbed 2024 PT5 had been circling the Earth since 29 September in an orbit about 3.2 million km from the planet.
